August Gallery Challenge Winner!!!

I am so excited I am the winner of the August Gallery challenge on the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking site!!!   The challenge is Clip it Up!   The challenge was to make a card for any occasion using clips, whether paper clips, hair clips, clothespins, or bobby pins.      Thank you so much Paper Crafts!!!   I am honored to be selected in the midst of all these amazing designers!! 

Here is a little bit about the project.  I saw these great hair barrettes and knew I wanted to use them on this month's gallery challenge.    The barrette was just perfect to clip the layers for the butterfly.

Swallowtail

 I am so excited this week's Caseing the Catty challenge is to tackle the Home Décor section of the catalog.     So I opened up the catalog to pages 94 – 101.     Page 94 I saw the butterfly wall print and I just knew I wanted to make my own.    I borrowed the Swallowtail stamp set from one of my friends to make my own wall hanging.

Amazing Birthday

This week's Inkredible color challenge is:  Mossy Meadow, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay.    So I decided to pull out the Amazing Birthday stamp set for the challenge.    I used my retired chipboard to use as a stencil and cut out the star.   Then  I sprayed some Smooch Spritz to add a little bling.

Forget the Cake!

I don't know which one I love more, the stamp set or this week's Seize the Sketch!   The stamp set is called Making Spirits Bright and it will be in the upcoming Holiday Mini that starts on August 28th.     So many fun drink sentiments for the upcoming holiday season.   There is one for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and even Valentine's Day.    Stay tuned it is one of my favorites so you will see more creations in the future with this beautiful stamp set.

You are my Sunshine

This week's Inkredible color challenge is:   Hello Honey, Pacific Point, Night of Navy, Whisper White.   So I decided to pull out the Ray of Sunshine stamp set for the challenge.  For the sunshine in the challenge I cut each ray out separately and then cut the sun out.     A little time consuming, but overall not too bad.  If I had to line up the rays I am sure I would be even more frustrated.

Love Peace & Friends

I am so loving this month's gallery challenge on PaperCrafts Connection.   The challenge is Clip it Up!   The challenge is make a card for any occasion using clips, whether paper clips, hair clips, clothespins, or bobby pins.    I had these great paper clips from the Everyday Occasions Card Kit.    I was flipping through my old Paper Crafts special editions and I saw this great card in the Card Creations Volume 12 that I just wanted my own version.     So here is the card made by Sarah Shewell and here is my version.

Inkredible Color Challenge

This week's Inkredible color challenge is:  Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral, Soft Sky, Baked Brown Sugar.  When I saw the colors I wasn't sure what I would do with them.   A friend of mine recently made me a thinking of you card with the retired Serene Sunflower and I drew inspiration from the set and decided to make a Tuscany style tea cup with the sunflowers.

I used the teacup from this template.   You need to be a member of Splitcoaststampers to access it, but it is worth the sign up to get to all these amazing ideas of course this template.

Glitter!!

 This week Stampin' Royalty is having us play with glitter!!!    It was one of those days, it was hot and I just did not want to play with glitter.    So I poked around in my scrap bin of pieces I have punched, stamped out or cut that I just didn't have the heart to throw in the trash and I found these glitter hearts I made a while ago.   The glitter hearts were made with a layer of versamark, then heat & stick powder, heat embossing, then dazzling diamonds followed by heat embossing to keep it in place.

CTC Wedding Challenge

 Week Four for Caseing the Catty brings us a Wedding Challenge.   So to join in the fun, case a project from the wedding section of the 2014-15 Idea Book and Catalog, pages 60-71.

I love the layout of the wedding card found on page 69, so with a little substitution, here is my wedding card.    I love the @SoSocial stamp set and this was the perfect opportunity to use it!     The curved angle, I used a circle as a pattern to make the curve.

Moxie Fab World Clicking Camera Challenge Day 2

I have to say I was excited to see the Clicking Camera Challenge on Moxie Fab World.    I finally got around to getting the Around the World stamp set.   It has been on my wish list and when I got the @SoSocial it was a perfect stamp set to pair it up with.

Moxie Fab World Clicking Camera Challenge

Moxie Fab World is having a Clicking Camera Challenge.   I love this challenge!    I love cameras!   My nieces and nephews know me too well.   I am constantly telling them "Cheese".     I am known as the family photographer.

I love the Flashback designer series paper.   It has these great polaroid and camera images.   I cut them out and made them the focal of my card.

CTC Birthday Challenge


This the third week of CASEing the Catty Design Team Entries.  This week we will tackling the Birthday section of the catalog.      As soon as I saw the cupcake card on page58.   I just knew it was going to be my case this week.   I haven't purchased the Cupcake Party stamp set, but I did get the Peace, Love and Cupcake stamp set, so I used the cupcake from that set.    Just a few tweaks and personal touches and here is my cupcake card case.
