Merry and Bright Christmas

After seeing this week's Freshly Made Sketch of the week, I knew I wanted to pull out the Wreath Builder die and pair it up with the Peace & Joy set.   I initially purchased the Peace & Joy set and then in time I was inspired to by the Wreath Builder.   I bought the Wreath Builder when it was about to retire last year and so I never had the opportunity to make a holiday card and pair them up together.   Now that they are together, it is everything I imagined and more.  I love them together.   I even stamped some berries from the Merriest Moments set.  I think it helped that I had some of the awesome Wrapped in Plaid DSP that helped inspire the color combination.   Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce, YES!   The Merry comes from another retired set, Holly Jolly Greetings.    I layered all the pieces on top of the Scalloped Contours die and finishing touch was some Opal Rounds.

This also worked out perfectly for this week's Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge.   Right down the middle going down, Circles, Patterned Paper and Embossing!

This is definitely a beautiful Christmas card, just not one that you can do in mass production.   Still working on coming up with one.   Not quite there yet.   I know I have to start cracking since November is already here.

Funny side note, this card took way longer than necessary.  I lost the and from the Peace & Joy set. A small little clear stamp, like a needle in a haystack.      I spent a good hour going through everything even the garbage to find the set.  I just used the set last week so I didn't throw out the trash yet.   I went through every paper stack and combed through the carpet hoping it fell on the floor.   I looked on the bottom of every paper cutter, stamp set and even my socks.  lol After an hour I found it, I was never so happy.   I even started going through my sets hoping I could find another and or & that would work.  You would have thought over the years there would be another "and" in my craft stash and there wasn't.     Who says crafting can't be stressful!

Beautiful, Stasia! I love the plaid and the sentiment. The Wreath Builder and Peace and Joy set are the perfect pairing for sure. I am so happy you were able to find your "and"! Thank you for playing in my Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week at The Paper Players!

This is gorgeous Stasia - I love those festive colours and the plaid and wreath combo. I feel your pain with the missing 'and' - don't you just hate it when that happens?! Glad you eventually found it safe and well. Thanks for playing TicTacToe with us over at The Paper Players this week!
