Favorite Cards From My Shoebox Swap

Here are some of my favorite cards that we made at the shoebox swap I just participated. The first one uses the Doodle This and the Polka Dot & Paisleys stamp sets. The colors are Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore.

We first stamped the one flower on the white card stock and cut it out. Then we stamped the flower on the long piece of white and colored that one in. Then we attached the second flower that was cut out with a dimensional, but not before we curled some of the flower petals. We put some Dazzling Diamonds on the edges flower petals by applying it with a 2-way glue pen. Lastly we attached two silver brads.

The next card uses Year after Year and So Many Sayings stamp set and the See You Around Jumbo wheel. The See You Around jumbo wheel was inked up with Whisper White craft ink. The card stock colors are Purely Pomegrante, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White and Kraft. The tree was colored in with my blender pens and the ink from my classic stamp pad. I made the scallop edge with my slit punch.

The card was finished off with some Purely Pomegrante double stiched ribbon. The card actual opens in the middle. I love seeing cards that have a unique fold. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut. I'm glad we made this card. I can't wait to make a card with a where the card stock folds into the middle.

The last card uses the Spooky Skyline Jumbo wheel and the Short & Sweet and the Dots Are Hot stamp sets. The card stock colors are Pumpkin Pie and Close to Cocoa. We tore the pumpkin pie card stock. Then we used the circle from the Dots are Hot stamp set to add some color to the spooky skyline. The colors we used were pumpkin pie, close to cocoa and old olive, but before we stamped the dots we stamped off a piece of paper so the circle were one shade lighter so the skyline was more easy to see.

Lastly, we made the tag with our Tag Corner punch. I had no idea we had this punch in the book. It makes making tags so much easier. I can't wait to get it. Lastly we attached the tag with some chocolate chip grosgrain and some natural hemp.

Thank you for looking. I will have a few more wow swaps for you tomorrow, so check back then for more ideas.
