It's Your Day

 I love love circle sketches!   Circles make me happy.   I think it's because in card making most of the time we are dealing with standard card size and it is so nice to see a round image on the card.     Thank you Paper Players for your circle challenge this week.

I wanted to make a card for my brother who is a big fisherman, but I didn't have a fishing pole.    So I asked my friend Colleen to cut a fishing pole out with her Silhouette.

So I had so much fun yesterday shopping the Scrapbook Expo.   I found so many cool stamps, papers and accessories!   I saw this great techy set and I just knew I had to get it.    I just know I am going to get lots of uses out of this set.  

Taylored Expressions sketch of the week gave me a great opportunity to create with my new stamp set and they completely inspired me with the sponged background by their great inspiration from their creative team.

Medium is the Wind

Happy Sunday everyone!  When I saw this week's Mojo Monday sketch I knew I wanted to create a nautical card.    It has been a crazy week and I finally got a chance to post my creation just in time for the sketch challenge to close.

Viva La Verve

The Project Bin has come up with another fabulous stamp set dedicated to the Sailing Men in your life called Anchors Away.   Perfect sailors, fathers and giving graduates advice for the future.

Here is a quick and easy card to start off the week using the Freshly Made Sketch of the week.     I love this sketch and it was perfect timing I just got this great diamond punch.  I just had to have it and now I know why.   Wow, love it!!      This was a perfect masculine birthday card.

The first card was made with the Freshly Made Sketch of the week.   It features in the Beautiful Ride stamp set.    I took the sketch and turned it on it's side and added an element from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

Star Wars

Over the Christmas holiday, I took my niece and nephew to see the new Star Wars movie!    So of course for my nephew's birthday card I had to make a Star Wars themed birthday card.

So I decided to create a card with one of the newest characters the very adorable BB-8.     I found this clipart at this link.   I covered up the image in the corner with the cogs punch.

Lego Birthday

My nephew loves, loves Legos.   I picked up this great Lego designer paper at a local scrapbook show and it works perfectly with this week's Freshly Made Sketch.  

I am excited I was able to use 3 of the birthday stamp sets from the Occasions Mini and also a Pacific Point button!   I hardly ever use my blue buttons.

I decided to have a little fun today and stamp and join in the Mojo Monday sketch of the week.   I have lots of January and February birthday cards to make.   I don't know how it happened but I have about 6 birthdays in such a short period of time that I have to buy gifts for and create birthday cards and they are all masculine!
