Saying Goodbye to Wagon Full of Fun

Well there is only a few more days left for the Occasions Mini and I hate to say it but Wagon Full of Fun will not be making it. So if you enjoyed this set as much as me do not hesitate to put it on your order list now. Here I started with the Sizzex Circle which I die cut. I then stamped and colored in the cupcake with my Stampin' Write Markers. Next I added some crystal effects and sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds and set it aside to dry. Next came the tag that I cut the diagonal strips and then punched out the horizontal slot to tie some Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon. Next came the scallop border which I paper pierced. The background I laid down some Candy Lane designer series paper and stamped the greeting from Big Bold Birthday which is also retiring. I need to get some birthday stamps because so many of mine are leaving!

Just Beachy Homemade Gift Tag

I am sorry to say but the Just Beachy set also did not make it in from the Holiday Mini. Also another hint there is no other beach set in the 2009-10 Idea Book and Catalog. So if you want a set for your Summer scrapbook pages and projects don't hesitate to place an order for the set today. First I cut two circles, Whisper White and Green Galore with my Circle Scissors Plus. Next, I stamped the fist and colored them in with my Stampin' Write Markers. Next I laid down of the retired Rainbow Sherbert designer series paper on a piece of Tempting Turquiose. I put a strip of Green Galore in the center of the two, then I all three through the Big Shot with my Top Note die cut. I stamped the greeting from the On Your Birthday stamp set. Lastly, I pulled out my Crop-a-dile and put a pewter jumbo brad in the top and tied a tempting turquoise grosgrain ribbon to attach the tag to the gift bag.

I ran a piece through with my Sizzex Texturz plates. Next came a strip of Very Vanilla with two Vintage Brads. The last piece was the greeting from the retired All Year Cheer I stamp set with a small strip of the Razzleberry Lemonade for an accent. Just Beachy Mojo Monday 90

Here is this week's Mojo Monday sketch using the wonderful Just Beachy set from the Occasions Mini. I pulled out my new In Colors for this card along with the great new designer series paper, Razzleberry Lemonade for the background. The sun and the flip flops were colored in and cut out and attached to the card with dimensionals. The top of the card, I added some paper piercing and a strip of the Dusty Durango. The greeting comes from the Everyday Flexible Phrases. The bottom of the card, I ran a piece of the Durango with my texturized plates and then tied a knot with the Crushed Curry Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon. How great is it that you can turn the ribbon over and you have a solid grosgrain ribbon, two ribbons and one. Also as demonstrators we got our copies of the new Idea Book and Catalog already, when you get your copy you have to look very carefully on each page there are some great tips. The best one I have found so far is to spritz the cardstock before you run it through the texturized plates it will give a better impression. I have to say it works, loving the polka dot texurized image at the bottom of this card.

Mojo Monday Sketch 86

Here is this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #86. I decided to use the Summer Love Rub-ons for this week's card. I needed an engagement card for my cousins and how easy was this card with the sketch. I just love the love birds fro an engagement card. The background paper was the Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper. The finishing touch was the jumbo silver brads and the scallop edge punch. The card size is 5 1/2 x 6 1/2, not your average size, but the rub-ons going across needed a little more room.

Homemade Card from Colleen

Here is my inspiration for this month's workshop card. I loved how Colleen made this a pocket card just by folding the Baja Breeze card stock a little bit in the front and tieing the wide grosgain ribbon around it. The background of the card comes from the Walk in the Park designer series paper. I loved how she did the scallop edge on the top of the insert of the card. Lastly, she stamped the for you and the frame and the butterfly from the Great Friend stamp set and cut both out. The finishing touch was the pearl in the center of the butterfly. Thank you Colleen for the card and the inspiration.

Color Challenge

Here is this week's color challenge. It is Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke and Basic Grey. The border of the page I used the Walk in the Park designer series paper in the Occasions mini. The next border as well as the flower petals comes from the Riding Hood Red Patterns Designer Series Paper. The flower petals were made with my Wide Oval punch. The stem I cut out with my Cutter Kit. The flower petal I die cut with my Flower Layers with Leaf Sizze. I also diecut the center of the flower with a piece of white paper applied to a piece of chipboard. I used the Circles Sizzex die cut for that. The greeting comes from the Good Friend stamp set. The butterflies come from the flight of the butterfly stamp set. The finishing touch was the 3 white jumbo brads.
Make sure to check out the following links for more ideas using the color combos of the week from our color girls: Colleen, Debbie, Lorraine, Kelly, Traci and Tracy.

My Swaps for Spring Fling

Here are two swaps I made for Spring Fling. The first one uses the Great Friend stamp set. I paired it up with the Bella Rose designer series paper. I cut the circle with my Circle Big Shot die cut. The next card I used the hostess set, A little somethin'. I die cut the large heart with my Hearts Sizzlets. I then stamped the word friend from the set. I then punched out the Trio flower and put a brad through the center. I then punched a small heart with my Heart to Heart punch. I attached both punches with Stampin' Dimensionals. Some of the WOW projects at Spring Fling

I am always so amazed by the talent that is in our group. Here are just some of the WOW projects that caught my eye at Spring Fling on Saturday. I could have a couple days of posts but I figued I would just limit it to just a handful of them. Enjoy! We have another event coming up in the Fall. Email me today if you want me to keep you posted of the date so you can attend the event with me. The first one uses the Birthday pop up die to make a 3D bunny that was made by my friend Kelly Mahoney.

The next project is two little dresser drawer made with the Matchbox die cut in our Occasions Mini. How precious are these! These were also made my Kelly.

The next one I am not sure who brought it in, but how great is this step card made with the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set.

I am so loving this cute little tote. How great is it!

The last project that I am going to post is the centerpieces made by our very own leader, Tina Rosenkrans. How cute is this jar with bird seeds. It has a little chipboard birdie on top. Too cute. I apologize for not posting more beautiful projects, but a girl has to stop some somewhere or I will be here all night.
