12x12 scrapbook pages

Here is the last of my Stampin' Up projects I have made at recent events. The first one is the 12x12 page we made at Regionals. The stamp sets are So Much and the Big Deal alphabet. The card stock colors are Khaki, Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Bashful Blue and So Saffron. This is another great photo of my niece in her winter jacket and hat.












The finishing touches are the circles stamped in Versamark on the background of the Khaki paper, the So Saffron button with line thread and the dry embossed circles with the Crop-a-dile and the Mat pack as a guide. We cut the circle out with our Coluzzle cutting system. Here is a closeup of the dry embossing.


The next 12x 12 photo was done at Convention. The staff at Stampin' Up! had hired people to come in to take pictures of us at convention for free, how great was that. Then all we needed to do was just put the picture in the scrapbook page that we made at the make & take session. The picture was of me and my friend Debbie at convention. The card stock used on this page are Khaki, So Saffron Prints Designer Series Paper and Wild Wasabi. The alphabet stamp set we used was the Jumbo Outline Alphabet. We colored in the letters with our Versamark marker to add depth. We used the accents and elements from the Build-a-Flower kit. The finishing touches were the Wild Wasabi double stiched ribbon stapled to the bottom. We put Build a Brad in the middle of the flowers. The large flower we looped some Natural cord. The grass was made by cutting the card stock with our paper snips. We also used the photo corners punch on the right hand side of the photo. The stems were made by tracing the On Board Ginormous Pieces.

Philadelphia Regional Projects

Here are some of the cards that we made at regionals. I loved the unique ideas that are in each of these projects. The first one is my favorite. It uses the True Friend stamp set. The colors are basic gray, purely pomegrante and soft sky. What a stricking color combination. I love how we highlighted the word Friend by just stamping it on a piece of Soft Sky and cutting it out and adhering it to the saying. We used the Spring Bouquet Flower punch to punch a flower in the Purely Pomegrante and adhered it with a silver brad. We rounded the only one side with our corner rounder. Who would have thought that. I would have done all four sides not just 2. That is why I love coming to these events to get little tips like this. Then there is my favorite ribbon, the polka dots from the Sherbet Ribbon Originals which we stapled to the card.

The next card uses the So Much stamp set that we got for free. At first when I heard that we were getting this set at regionals, I have to admit I wasn't really happy. Although I have learned that throughout the years the stamp sets we have received a regionals end up being one of my favorite sets. For example, Natural Beauty, that just recently retired. I have come to enjoy this set and see the potential in my scrapbook pages and I have to say I love the dotted circle and the flower. So stay tuned, I am sure I will be coming up with some projects with this set in no time.

So enough about the stamp set, let's talk about the Thanks card. It uses the same color combo, except now the background is our Kraft paper. The circles were cut out with our Coluzzle cutting system. I have to say my favorite part of this card is the way we attached the ribbon to the card. We used a silver brad which of course was attached with our new crop-a-dile. We then threaded the soft sky double stitched ribbon and tied some linen thread around it. We made the scallop edge with our corner rounder and added a button to the middle of the card.

The last card, we used the Real Red, Kraft, So Saffron and Soft Sky card stock. We cut the flower out and put a pewter jumbo eyelet in the middle. We stamped the swirl in white ink and then we paper pierced some of the lines in the circle. My favorite part of the card was the fold. We ended up folding the card, so it made a pocket on the inside. What a great way to give a gift card or make it a little bigger and it can be a cd holder.

More Paper Crafts Projects from Regionals

My project postings from Regionals are slowly coming to an end. Here are 4 more projects that were created by the wonderful staff at Stampin' Up! staff. I just love the projects they come up with. I always enjoying seeing what they will come up with next.

The first sample uses the All in the family stamp set and Just so Saying stamp sets. The colors are Not quite navy and pumpkin pie. It uses the District Ribbon Originals and a Certainly Celery button.

The next card uses my favorite polka dot background and the Three for You punch box. There is some dry embossing happening on this card with the Punches Plus template along with paper piercing. Did you know you can use our Classy Brass Templates for paper piercing as well! The card is finished off with our beautiful Wide Grosgrain Chocolate Chip ribbon. The card stock is Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi and Kraft.

The second is a scrapbook page made with Prints Designer Series Paper and the On Board Simon Lower stamp set.

The last project is by far the cutest. They are lollipop holders made with the Batty for you stamp set.

Holiday Mini Card Making Samples

Now, here are a few projects made from the holiday mini from my friend, Colleen, that she shared with me at regionals that she made recently.

The first card uses the Season of Joy stamp set. It uses my favorite new color combination, Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink and Old Olive. Thanks Colleen for the inspiration. I love those colors.

The next card uses the Autumn Apparitions stamp set and Batty Jumbo wheel and the great Halloween paper, Creepy Crawly. The colors are Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black.









The last sample uses the Snow Burst stamp set, the Dotted background stamp and the Snow Jumbo Wheel. The colors are Soft Sky and Basic Black with some Silver snowflakes in the mixed into the dotted background. She also added some rhinestone brads to the middle of the snowflakes to add a little bling to the page.

Fall Themed Cards

Here are some of my favorite fall themed cards that I received at the Stampin' Up Philadelphia regionals. The first one comes from Victoria D'Amico. The card is made with the True Friend stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The Colors are Groovy Guava and Chocolate Chip. The extra touches to the card are some Groovy Guava Double Stiched Ribbon, Gold Brad and the uni Signal Gel pen.

The next card comes from Natalie Gramley. Her card was made with the With Gratitude stamp set. The colors are So Saffron and Chocolate Chip. She sponged the color on with Stampin' Pastels and added some Soft Subtles Brads for the extra touch.

The last card unfortunately, I do not have a name to tell you made it. The stamp set is Autumn Apparitions. The colors are Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and River Rock. For an added touch the pumpkin behind the black cat was stamped in orange craft ink and then embossed. The black cat was cut out and popped up with Stampin' dimensionals. Black brads put the finishing touches on the card.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

Here are two samples made with the Snow Jumbo wheel from the Holiday Mini catalog. They both use the Soft Sky card stock and ink.

The first card swap I received from Gail Micca. She used the Snow jumbo wheel with the little snowman from the Merry & Bright stamp set. She also stamped little snowflakes on the Soft Sky card stock from the Snowflake Spot stamp set. She colored in parts of the snowman with the uni-Signo gel pen. She finished the card with some Blue Bayou double stiched ribbon.

The next card comes from Beth Wilson. She rolled the Snow Jumbo wheel with Versamark and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. She layered the Snow saying onto of the Wintergreen double sided paper and Sage Shadow card stock and finished the card with some Whisper White Taffetta Ribbon.

Swaps from My Stamping Buddies

Here are swaps that I received from my stamping buddies, Colleen and Tracy.

Here is a thank you card and coordinating 6x6 double page Scrapook page from my friend Colleen. I just love the color combination. Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate and Old Olive. I think this is going to be my new color combination that I am going to have to try out. The stamp set is Think Happy Thoughts. She used the circle punches, scallop circle punch and the flower trio from the Three for You punch box.

Tracy used the Hostess Exclusive stamp set, Garden Silouettes. She did a phenomenal job with these two cards. The card on the left she stamped the florals in the White Craft pad. Who says you need to stamp your florals in colors and not neutrals. I've seen a few cards in the black, white and grey and the look beautiful. The second card, I have to say the way she did the label for the greeting, I absolutely love it. I can't wait to try on my next card samples.

Favorite WOW swaps

Here is my favorite WOW swaps I received at Regionals. The first is a jumbo paper clip using the snowman from the Merry & Bright stamp set and the Scallop Circle Punch. The next one is a mini clipboard using the Bronc Buster stamp set made by Sondra Jumper. Lastly, it is a pin using the Autumn Harvest stamp set. The jumbo paper clip and the pin did not have any contact information attached, so unfortunately, I can't post who made them. Stay tuned tomorrow for more fabulous swaps I received at Regionals...

Stampin' Up Regionals

Well it was a long day. We were on the road at 5:30 heading down to Philly for the Stampin' Up Regionals. We got there with just a little time to spare. So the swapping frenzy started. I raced around trying to get all my swaps out of my little hands and getting new ones in return. That madness continued during the breaks until all my swaps were done. Hopefully tomorrow, I'll get some photos together of my favorite swaps and post them. In the meantime, here are some of my favorite projects from Regionals that they demonstrated. On the right, here is a picture of me and my stamping buddies, Colleen and Tracy.

My first favorite was this wall hanging. It is made with the Autumn Harvest stamp set, Fall Flowers Designer Series Paper, Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain Ribbon and On Board Simmon Upper Chipboard Letters. I am thinking about having a class and making this project with some of you. Email me and let me know if you are interested in making this and we'll see if we can make this fall!

The next project was a corkboard memo board. It is made from the On Board Ginormous Pieces, Prints Designer Series Paper, Celery Wide Grosgrain Ribbon and Corkboard. How beautiful is that! I absolutely love it.

I was happy that one of the topics they covered yesterday was dry embossing. I did some dry embossing when I first started stamping, but I forgot some of the technique steps. So it was great getting a refresher and of course they gave us some great tips and ideas. Here is a Christmas card they did with the Priceless template on vellum. Isn't it gorgeous!

It was a long day, I didn't get home until 9. You have thought I would have just drifted off to sleep, we'll that was not happening with Starbucks still running through my veins and the 101 things that I learned and saw! :)

Everytime I go, I am just floored by the talent and all the wonderful things we can make with our products. Did I mention the beautiful make & take projects we made with our free stamp set, So Much. Well I'll share those another day with you. This is just one of many things I love about Stampin' Up. I love going to events and learning new things. Hopefully next time you can join me.
