Memory Paint Can

Here is this week's project I made for my sister's baby shower.    It is a paint can that she can store her little girl's life moments as they happen and so she can remember them.

I found this poem on the Internet.    How great is this idea!

Ingredients to make the paint can:
Stamp Sets:   Baby Prints
Ink:  Rose Red
Paper:   Whisper White, desinger series paper from a local craft store
Accessories:   Whisper White Taftetta Ribbon, Vintage Flowers, Pearls
Tools:   Circle Cutting System, Eyelet Border Punch, Beautiful Butterflies Sizzex, Big Shot, Butterfly Punch from a local craft store
Baby books are great ideas, but sometimes you're too busy.
Living with a little one can put you in a tizzy.
Milestones pass too fast at times to find the proper page.
So, jot a note of each event with date or baby's age
(like "Took 3 steps on May the 1st"
or "Teething -- 5 December")
then drop it in this Memory Jar to help you to remember!

As children grow, they learn to speak, And have so much to say.
They crack us up and make us smile
Each and every day. All the things they do and say,
We think we will recall. But as they age, so do we,
And we don't recall at all!
So HEAR it, WRITE it, DROP it in -
That's all you have to do,
To help remember the things they did, And WHAT was said by WHO!

Stasia -
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your gift to your sister! This is absolutely amazing!! Wish I'd had something like this when mine were born.

Take care -

Stasia, What a wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing this. Although my boys are 3 & 7, I think I am going to make one for myself now. Time is crazy and this would make it so easy to keep those memories! And of course I will save this idea for future baby shower gifts! Have a wonderful day!
