Creative Blog Hop!

I was nominated by the head Stampin' Goddess herself, Georgeann Manning, to participate in a Creative Blog Hop!  If you haven't checked out Georgeann's work, it is a must.   Georgeann is amazing not only does she create beautiful projects, she is main goddess of the Stampin' Royalty design team.   She posts amazing challenges weekly for us to do and keeps us organized and inspired. Not only is she a talented paper crafter, she sings.    She tried out for America's Got Talent recently.   I am keeping my fingers crossed for her!!!

To do this, first I have to be nominated by another Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  Thank you Georgeann!    I can't wait to create and be a part of the hop!

Then, I have to post a project!

Here goes!

Ingredients to make the project:
Stamp Sets:  Hooray It's Your Birthday
Ink:  Perfect Plum, Blackberry Bliss
Paper:  Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Blackberry Bliss Patterns Designer Series Paper, Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  Rhinestones
Tools:   Bow Builder Punch, Aqua Painter, Trio Flower Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Hello You Thinlits

The project was based on this week's Freshly Made Sketch.

The next fun part of the Creative Blog Hop is where I answer some questions about me...

1. What are you working on right now.

I am happy to say I am done with Christmas cards and projects and my nephew's birthday party invitations and decorations.   I am now able to just create just to create.    How nice is that!!    Like today's post which was a birthday card for my best friend's birthday!

2. How does your style differ from others in your genre?

I don't know if my crafting style is different from others.  For the most part I drawn to clean and simple cards and designs.    Now that there is extra postage for cards that are bulky.   I try to keep my embellishments to minimum.   I also drawn lots of inspiration from sketches.  I love how one sketch can inspire so many people to create different things.

3. Why do you create what you do.

I create because it because it makes me happy as well as the people who receive it.  For me crafting is a stress reliever.   No matter how bad day may be a few hours in my craft studio makes me happy.   My favorite part of paper crafting is scrapbooking.   I love finding time to scrapbook.   I love looking back on my scrapbooks and the memories I preserved in that time and place the photos were taken.

4. How does your creative process work.

For me the process starts with challenges, card sketches or drawing inspiration from a photo or Pinterest pin.    When I am not in my studio, I love looking on Pinterest to find inspiration.    I also love looking through old issues of my paper crafting magazines as well as my Stampin' Up! Idea Book and catalogs.  From there I take the idea and make it my own.   Adding layers of paper, embellishments, different colors, different sentiments and before you know it a creation is born.

Lastly, to end the Creative Blog Hop, I get to nominate another demonstrator to participate! So, I am nominating Angela McKay to be next in the Blog Hop! Angela is part of the Stampin' Royalty design team with me.    Her projects are just amazing!!!   She creates the most beautiful projects.    Be sure to check out her blog and visit it on Friday, March 6th for her post for the Creative Blog Hop!
