End of 2020-21 School Year

This has been a school year for the record books.    We knew going in it was going to be a challenge especially after getting a sneak peak of three months, but nothing could have prepared us or the kids for the challenges they faced and had to get through.     I had the privilege of helping my niece, 3rd grader, and my nephew, 1st grader through this challenging time.     I was there to fill in the blanks where things got dropped and help them connect and make sure they should up on time and focused all while playing short order cook for them.     I am so proud of the two of them.    They have amazed me how much they have grown as individuals, their determination and quick learners they were.    The norm was thrown out.   They had to learn computer skills, not see their friends and do so many things on their own.    With all that they got great grades and worked together and helped one another out.    I am so happy I was there to see them light up when they had their ahh now I get it moments or go away I got this Stasia I don't need you.    They are rockstars!

The mug was a must have.    We literally survived the past year.       The gift card holder for the teacher's was made with retired stamp sets, BYOP for the sentiment and Elementary Essentials for the pencil and ruler.    The DSP is True Love.

I made a card for my two little rock stars.   I used a lot of sentiments from old sets:  Geometrical Marquee Messages, Here's to Strong Woman and Perfect Pairings.    The triangle border comes from the Stitched Triangles.    The stars are from the Here's to Strong Woman.    The colors used were:   Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, So Saffron and Granny Apple Green.

Ho Ho Ho

How cute is this this whole project.     The mug is my absolute favorite found it in the treasures at TJ Maxx.    Don't you love that store.    I had to make a tag that coordinated with the mug.    Santa comes from a stamp set in my craft stash from Inkadinkado.    Is that company even around anymore.     The set is called Christmas Characters.     The sentiment was heat embossed.    It comes from the Joann's dollar bin stamp set.     The striped paper is from Let it Snow.    The tag was made with my tag builder punch.

Here is another fun card made with The Project Bin's Pumpkin Spice stamp set.   The cute little pumpkin and the shaker come with the set.     The coffee mug I fussy cut from the Coffee Break designer series paper.  A punch with my banner punch and some twine along with a strip of The Paper Studio designer series paper complete the card.

Death Before Decaf

I really think everyone should come with a warning label saying Death before Decaf.    It was make mornings so much easier.     It is one of my favorite sentiments from The Mug Life from Ink Road Stamps.     I decided to make my background with my Dylusions Spray Ink and Paint in Rose Quartz.    The designer series paper comes from the Pebbles 31 paper pack as well as a strip from The Paper Studio.     The mug was made with the top from the Merry Cafe stamp set.    The cup was die cut from My Favorite Things Coffee Cup.    Enamel dots complete the card.

Today's Good Mood

Sometimes a card stays with you.   Shelly Kurth created this beauty many years ago.  When I say this Mug Life sentiment Today's good mood sponsored by coffee I thought it would be perfect with a mug and a little sunshine.       The sunshine was diecut from the Sizzex You & Me.    The little smile comes from the Lawn Fawn Love you a Latte stamp set.    The mug was die cut from the Cups & Kettles framelits.     The designer series paper is retired Tasty Treats.     The coffee beans come from the Coffee Cafe.

I Know Things

So my school theme cards continues.     This card is perfect for graduates as well as for teacher apprection.      I just love this sentiment from The Ink Road Stamps Mug Life.    That's what I do I drink coffee & I know things.   I stamped it on a My Favorite Things Coffee Cup die cut.   I sponged on Distress Oxide Walnut Stain for textured.     I paired it up the Unity A to Z Coordinates stamp set.     The background was done with Dylusions Old School Number Large stencil and Distress Oxide Walnut Stain ink sponged on.    I used the retired Urban background designer series paper on the card.    The finishing touch was a button with linen thread.

Can Not Talk to Any More of Them

Where the last card was all Loralei Gilmore this card is a Rory card.    I can so hear her saying this and then running off to her bedroom or the book store and reading one of her many novels.

The sentiment and books come from the Stars Hollow stamp set.    The mug comes from Mug Life.    The images were colored in with my Copic markers.     The designer series paper is from an old Richard Garay Noteworthy set.

What the Frapp

I am always on the market for fun coffee stamps because you know we all run on caffeine.     The Ink Road stamps does not disappoint with their Mug Life set.    So many fun images and the sentiments are hysterical.     Here I used some Dylusions Paint Rose Quartz for the pink frappacuino.    I fussy cut the images and put them together.    The sentiment was heat embossed.     A strip of paper from The Paper Studio, a heart button and twine complete the card.

Warm Coffee Mugs

So when coming up with the first two cards, I ended up having some leftover die cuts and stamped images.   My first thought was to use the big coffee mugs from the retired Cups & Kettles thinlits, but the cups didn't work with the sketch or the card in the end.    So why put them to waste.   Use all the one offs on this card.      I added some snowflakes from the Seasonal Layers.    The sentiment comes from the Hug in a Mug.   The buffalo check background was made with the Buffalo Check stamp set, black ink and red cardstock.     The finishing touches were a strip of Farmhouse Elements designer series paper and white perfect elements colored with a sharpie.

Warm Thoughts

Here is another card made with the fabulous Buffalo Check background stamp.    Again it was black ink on red paper.     I used a strip of Farmhouse Elements designer series paper and black card stock.    The mugs and sentiment come from the retired Hug in a Mug stamp set.    I die cut the circle with the Stitched Shapes.    The fun elements come from the Santa's Workshop and baker's twine.

Hug in a Mug

So how great are these little mugs in the Hug in a Mug stamp set.   I love that there is a stamp set that helps you stamp the inside of the mug so you don't have to color it in.   Ilove that there is little embellishments to stamp for all the mugs, spoons, straws, marshmellows and the list goes on.    The enjoy comes from the Mini Treat Bag framelits.   I am so happy to have discovered while going through my framelits.   This is the second time I have used the enjoy in the last couple of months!    Twine, candy dots and the Merry Little Christmas designer series paper finish the card.
