You rock my world

So I have the My Favorite Things Dienamcis Accent It Rock and Roll and Document It Rock on stamp sets for a long time.    I have used them on a few cards through out the years, but I was never so happy to have the stamp sets and coordinating die than when I went to create this scrapbook page of my guy.       They worked perfectly.    There is die cut guitar in the set, but I really like the Epic Celebrations guitar and it gave me a chance to add a little color and detail to the page.     The designer series paper is from Crate Paper Route 66.   Enamel dots complete the card.

U Rock!!!

I have to say I am loving this month's Scrapbook Etc.  I completely fell in love with this card on page 30 of the issue.   The actually made it so it has a pocket for Pop Rocks to put in.   I just made it as a birthday card for my boyfriend.   We share a common love of music and this card was just perfect.    The strings on the guitar are no dental floss.   It worked perfectly.

I added the sentiment from the retired B.Y.O.B. stamp set and heat embossed it.    The images were colored in with my Blendabilites and Copic markers.    The paper and the enamel dots were from craft stash. 

Retirement Open House

Inkredible Color Challenge

Here is this week's color challenge: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and a new In Color. Well I decided to change it up a little bit. I changed the Chocolate Chip to Early Espresso and decided to use a new color to the family versus one of the new In Colors. I sponged on the Early Espresso ink and crumbled up the card stock to give it a distressed look.

So here is my card along with the ingredients to make it:

Rockin' Birthday

The last card made with Dylusions Spray Inks in Fresh Lime, London Blue and Laidback Lilac is my Rockin' Birthday card.     This time I took all three colors and applied them with a paintbrush in strips for a cool background effect.    The sentiments from a masked The Stamps of Life Guitars 2 Play and Letter It Ranger Birthday stamp set.    The guitar comes from My Favorite Things Accent It Rock & Roll die.     The music quotes are also from the The Stamps of Life Guitars 2 Play set.     Rhinestones and a strip of The Paper Studio designer series paper complete the card.

Inspired by Bruce

Here is a birthday card I made for my guy.   I was inspired by these great poster images I found on esty.   I decided to play with my fonts and Word and here was my version.   Not as fun, but it works.
Most of the products are not SU, but the ones that are the Sahara Sand and Basic Black card stock, Extreme Guitar stamp set and the distress kit.

Make Your Own Chevrons

So as you probably seen, chevrons are in and they are everywhere.   What better than to find a way to make your own.   I especially can't wait to use this technique on a scrapbook page.    All you need to do is use your square punch and then cut diagonally and then start arranging them.   I was totally inspired by a card I saw in Paper Crafts.   Click here to see my inspiration.

This week Stamping Royalty brings us a color challenge.   The colors are:  Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit and Lucky Limeade.    This time of year I usually would have made a Christmas card with these colors, but the I really wanted to try my hand on the chevron look.   I am glad I die, now I have this great graphic manly card for a future birthday card.

Color Throwdown

So I found a new color challenge site, Color Throwdown. Like I need another challenge site to visit, but I have to say they are the best thing if you are in a slump or you need a jolt to your creativity. A third of the work is done, so know I just have to come up with the sketch and what the design is. The colors are: Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz. They were screaming something floral to me, but I decided to do something a little different with them. So here is my girly rocker card with the colors.

You Rocked It!

I was completely inspired by this week's Fusion triangle challenge.   I have a feeling one of these days I am going to have to purchase nesting triangle dies.     I free form made this triangle.    The background triangles were sponged on with Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and a Heidi Swapp Patterns Stencil Mini.    The guitar and the you rocked it comes from The Stamps of Life Guitars2Play stamp set.   Congrats comes from the Ranger Letter It Celebration set.     A strip of designer series paper and enamel dots complete the card. 

Rocker Girl

Here is a rocker girl birthday gift tage I made. I have to say I love the way it came out. The best part was the gift, I found a pink Converse sneaker that was a piggy bank. What a great gift for teenage girl along with some iTunes gift cards.

Paper: rocker paper I found at a local craft store, Whisper White and Basic Gray
