6 sheets of paper = 28 projects!

As you probably noticed as the week went by I was getting more and more creative with my Halloween paper scraps. It was challenge that was beckoning me. I found the best way is make them in a patchwork pattern like a quilt for a background. I am happy to say with 6 pieces of Cast-a-Spell designer series paper, I was able to make 28 projects.

Halloween Scrapbook Page

Here is a Halloween scrapbook page I put together all it needs is a few pictures of my niece and nephew in their Halloween costumes! I can't wait to see the Little Mermaid and Mickey!

Here are the ingredients to make the project:

Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Cast-a-Spell designer series paper, Basic Black and Whisper White
Accessories: Wide Grosgrain Old Olive Ribbon, Old Olive Buttons
Tools: Big Shot, Simple Letters and Numbers Sizzex and Sizzex Circles #2

Special Touch: The skeletons were cut out and attached to the page with dimensionals. The circles as well were die cut and attachd with dimensionals. The tailored bow was the finishing touch.

It just hasn't been treat boxes that I have been a busy bee making, I also completed a few cards as well. Here they are, starting first with this week's Inkredible color challenge: Certainly Celery, Eggplant Envy and Pumpkin Pie.

Lots of Halloween Treats

Well I have been busy making Halloween treats. First I am going to start off with two templates you have seen in the last couple of days, just showcasing different colors, different stamp sets.

I decided I needed one more scallop square box, so here is the project and the ingredients to make it:

Ink: Eggplant Envy, Basic Black and Old Olive

Paper: Nouveau Chic and Cast-a-Spell Designer Series Paper, Old Olive, Whisper White, Basic Black

Accessories: Basic Black Brads

Tools: 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Big Shot and Scallop Square Box

Next came the purse treat holder, I initally called it a gum treat holder only to find out no gum can fit inside of the hole. The packs of gum they make now are just too wide. So I found that a Kit Kat fits nicely in the slot. Click here to see my blog post for the dimensions and the scoring.

Next I made an M&M holder. I actually just tweeked the dimensionals on the project above. I cut a piece of card stock 9 x 3 1/4". I scored at 3 3/4", 4 1/4", 8, 8 1/2".

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White and Cast-a-Spell designer series paper

Accessories: Black Gingham Ribbon

The last was the simple box of all made with the Sizzex Stampin' Up! Fancy Favor. Just run through the Big Shot and assemble. Super Easy.

Scallop Square Boxes

Yesterday I learned how to make a box that fits nicely with the Sizzex Scallop Square. Click here to see how to make it! Thank you Colleen for showing me first hand how to make it. I am box challenged, but usually after I make a few I am a pro. Hence I made four of them tonight! Click here to see Colleen's sample that she just posted on her blog.

The first one I made with the Sweet Treats stamp set.

Special Touch: The center was colored in with my Stampin' Write Markers and then punched and attached with dimensinals.

The next three use very similar products the last two I just did a patchwork theme to use up scraps of the Cast-a-Spell designer series paper. To make the patchwork I punched the squares with my 1 1/4" square punch otherwise the ingredients listed below will be for all three boxes.

Halloween Treat Holder

Here I took an ordinary paper lunch bag and dressed it up. I cut the bag down to 3 1/2". The height of the black card stock is 4 1/2" x 4 3/4".

Ingredients to make the project:

Stamp Set: Sweet Center

Ink: Elegant Eggplant

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Cast-a-Spell designer series paper, Nouveau Chic designer series paper

Accessories: Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Sweet Treats Centers

Tools: Scallop punch from a local craft store, 1 3/4" Circle Punch and Crop-a-dile

Misc: Purple skittles

Special touches on this project: The ribbon was adhered to the project and then a black bow was made and attached with a mini glue dot. I attached the designer series paper to a piece of basic black to make the project more sturdy. I attached the finished front and a piece of basic black on the back to the paper bag with sticky strip. Ribbon was tied from the left to the right in the front and then in the back.

Gum Halloween Treat Holder

Can you believe that Halloween is coming up so quickly! Here is a Halloween Gum Holder that I made by copying the template from my friend Colleen. She made me one last year and I just took the dimensions and made my own with this year's products.

Here are the dimensions of the project:

Take a strip of 10" x 2 1/2" Score at 2 1/4", 2 3/4", 6 1/4", 6 3/4".

Ingredients to make the project:

Stamp Set: Pumpkin Patch

Ink: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black and Cast-a-Spell Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Basic Black Brads, Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, Velcro Dots

Tools: Curly Label Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Word Window, Crop-a-dile

Special Touches on the Project:

I would definatley reinforce the top where you thread the ribbon to make the handle. It helps so that way when you thread the ribbon, you do not ribbon the project. The inside punch the word window and then adhere above the top of the punch with sticky strip.

Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge

Here is this week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge. It is a sketch. I ended up making two projects for this challenge.

I just love this photo of my niece and nephew from last halloween. Here is a wall hanging I made with the photo. Perfect to hang on the wall for a seasonal decoration.

Ink: Basic Black Classic Stamp Pad and Stampin’ Write Marker, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Ink Refill

Accessories: Wide Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, 5/8” Jumbo Brads, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Googlie Eyes

Tools: Crafter’s Tool Kit, 3/16” Corner Rounder, Crop-a-dile, Big Shot, Scallop Circle Sizzex, Clear Circle Sizzex, Simple Letters Sizzex and Serif Essentials Alphabet Sizzex

Special touches to the project: The pumpkins were stamped and then colored in with ink refills and my blender pens. I took Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and I colored in the black pumpkin cutouts to give it more defined color. I added googlie eyes for a finishing touch. The top of the project I punched two holes with my crop-a-dile and then I treaded the ribbon through and tied a knot on top.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge

This week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge is a color one. The colors are Perfect Plum, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie with a little neutrals mixed in.

So here's my card and the ingredients to make it:

Ink: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black

Paper: Cast-a-Spell Designer Series Paper, Whisper White and Basic Black

Accessories: Basic Black Wide Grosgrain Ribbon and Black Brads

Tools: Corner Rounder Punch

Special Touches to the card: I adhered the ribbon to the card with adhesive and then I tied a bow and attached it to the card with glue dots. I corner rounded one of the edges of the designer series paper.

Sweet Treats Holiday Decoration

I have to say I love the way this holiday decoration came out.

Mojo Monday Day 7 Sketch

I have to say I have really enjoyed doing the Mojo Monday sketches this week. If you are in a creative rut, I highly suggest trying your hand in doing them. They have made me come up with projects I would have never thought of on my own. Here is my card, I just changed the direction of the sketch for my project.
