It was so fun to create in a color palette and themes specifically for the men in our life.

The first card was made with the Freshly Made Sketch of the week.   It features in the Beautiful Ride stamp set.    I took the sketch and turned it on it's side and added an element from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

Stamping Royalty Sketch Challenge

This week Stamping Royalty brings us a sketch challenge.   When I saw the sketch I just knew I wanted to make it into a scrapbook page.   Here are my parents on their wedding day.  I just love this photo.
I used my hobby knife to cut around the floral image in the corner and inserted my photo under it.

Stamping Royalty Sketch Challenge

Here is this week's Stamping Royalty Sketch challenge.   I decided to turn the sketch into a gift bag.    I pulled out one of my oldest Stampin' Up! stamp sets, Stippled Shells.   I love this set.    This is a perfect example of how you need to get stamp sets that are retiring.    There has not been one quite like in the last 7 years.

Special Touches on this card: I applied some crystal effects on the frosting parts of the card and then while it was still wet, I added some dazzling diamonds. The greeting was stamped and then the tag corner made the tag corners. A strip of whisper White as added to the bottom

Pals Paper Arts Challenge #7

This week's Pals Paper Arts challenge is a sketch one. I have to say I am liking this one. Very simple and very versatile. I pulled out the hostess exclusive stamp set available in the Holiday Mini for this one! I am loving this stamp set.

PPA Challenge #2

This week from our Pals Paper Arts Challenge comes to us a sketch challenge. I know in less than a month I am going to need some wedding cards, so here is one I made using this week's sketch.

Ingredients to make the card:
Stamp Set: Wedding Sweet
Ink: Gold
Paper: Whisper White and Brushed Gold
Accessories: Gold Brads, Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder
Tools: Heat Tool, Eyelet Border Punch

Special touches on the card: This card is a 5x5 card. I cut the white card stock a 1/4" smaller on the top and the bottom and attached it to the gold when I was done. Before I did I punched a eyelet border on the top and then cut a strip of bottom half so that way the eyelet border shows through the gold. As a special touch, I heat embossed the gold to give it a little shimmer and bling.

Inspiration Challenge from the Inkredible Group

One of my fellow Inkthinkers just posted this challenge on our board: Take the photo of the dinnerware. Use the colors, the pattern or whatever else inspires you about this picture and make your project. Well I decided to make a scrapbook page that I am going to put in a shadowbox for two of my friends that recently tied the knot. I started with the background paper, Textiles. I then made a eyelet border on a piece of Night of Navy. I attached the Organza ribbon and made a tailored bow and attached it to the page. Next came the diecut I made with Join in the Cheer. Next, I added three halfback pearls to the page. I stamped the roses from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set and cut them out and attached them to the page with Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly, I did a little journaling on my computer and put then with Designer Label punch, I punched out the journaling and put in a Styled Silver Hardware frame. Thank you Kelly for the challenge!

Sketch Challenge

Well this week, my friend Kelly posted a sketch challenge for all our fellow demonstrators. I welcome you to join me in the challenge, I have to say it was a lot of fun starting with a sketch this time and just copying. They always say use our catalogs for inspiration, why re-create the wheel, use Stampin' Up!'s ideas and make them your own. So our challenge and yours if you decide to take it is... On Page 9 of the Sale-a-bration brochure there is a birthday card, take the card and make it your own. Here is the card from the Sale-a-bration brochure, it features the Polka Dot Punches stamp set that you can earn for free with a 50$ purchase.

Here is my version of the card I first looked for designer series that s paper that had stripes in it. I found it in the retired Frosty Day designer paper from the Holiday Mini. I put a strip of the Frosty Day on the side of the card. Instead of the 4 circles on the side, I decided to go with a chocolate chip scallop edge followed by a strip of close to cocoa. Next I took a piece of Frosty Day in the Tangerine Tango color and adhered it to the front of the card, next I pulled out retired poly twill chocolate chip ribbon. Next came the circle image, I cut the large circle with my Coluzzle. I then took my Love You Bunch stamp set and with my Stampin' Write Markers, I only colored in the scallop edge from the Hugs&Kisses image. I stamped in the card stock and punched it out our scallop circle. Next came the image from the great Rock Star image from the hostess exclusive A Little Somethin', I punched this image with the large star punch. The finishing touches was the Fire Rhinestone and the paper piercing on the large circle. I did a free hand job of piercing, but I did after I adhered all the images. I used the scallop circle as guide for where to put the paper piercing. I tried to put it equal distance from the scallop edge and the edge of the large circle. Lastly came the PARTY ON, from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set. We had the word party in that set, with the on I masked off from the word congrats from the set. I have to say I like the outcome.
