It's Your Day

This week at Stampin' Royalty we are challenging everyone to a Fancy Fold.  I wasn't sure what I would do, it isn't something I normally do, but it was fun going out of my comfort zone.      Here is a tri fold card that I made using the fun Seaside Shore stamp set and the beautiful By the Shore paper.    Each side is 3 1/4" and the first two folds are cut o a diagonal.     When I was done I decide that the back of the card needed a little more, so I adhered some designer series paper to the back and gave it a little pop of color with the stripe paper and tied some baker's twine.

Love this card and the way it came out.   So join us in this week's challenge and break out of your comfort zone.

Ingredients to make the card:
Stamp Sets:   Party with Cake, Seaside Shore
Ink;   Night of Navy, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral
Paper:   Very Vanilla, By the Shore Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, Clear Rhinestones from a local craft store

Did Someone Say Sailing

I love the Reverse Confetti sketch of the month.    The circles and tabs totally inspired me to create this nautical theme page with some of the amazing nautical stamp sets that I have recently have gotten.

Being we are not really a sailing family, you will not see a lot of boating pictures, but I was really happy to find this great picture in my photo stash of my niece and nephew on a row boat!!

So it is not really sailing, but it is on the water!

Here is another great sentiment from the Anchor's Away stamp set from The Project Bin.   The other nautical elements come from the Seaside Shore that is from the new 2016-17 Idea Book & Catalog.

Ingredients to make the scrapbook page:
Stamp Sets:   Seaside Shore, Anchor's Away by The Project Bin
Ink:  Versamark, Pacific Point
Paper:  Whisper White, Real Red, Pacific Point, Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper
Accessories:   Enamel Dots from a local craft store, Whisper White Embossing Powder
Tools:   Heat Gun, Embossing Buddy, Triple Banner Punch,  Circle Framelits

The Marquee Messages is one of my favorite stamp sets from the 2016-17 Idea Book and Catalog.   I love the retro look and feel of this set!!  It is becoming one of my fast favorites! I was totally inspired by Jen Mitchell's design on Freshly Made Sketches.   Love the colors and the triangles.

I decided to change it up a little and instead of triangles, I used a diamond punch I recently picked up at a local craft store.    I got the diamond punch so I can create more retro feel cards and I am happy I did.   Now I have a perfect set.
