Love Scrapbook Page

Well I have to say I am loving the new Love You Much bundle. It is a sneak peak to the Spring Summer that you are going to be able to buy very soon. In the meantime, here is a scrapbook page made with the stamp set in the set for this week's color challenge. In the photo are my mom and my newphew this past winter. First I colored in the Love stamp set with my three Stampin' Write Markers with this week's colors: Green Galore, Night of Navy and Ruby Red. As you will see Green Galore very lightly used in this project. The only addition to the Green Galore was the brad in the center of the flower. I punched out the Love with my Paper Shapers 2 3/4" circle punch. I then took out the Scallop Circle #2 and die cut. Next came my polka dot stamp set which I stamped on a strip of white. The finishing touches were the Heart to Heart punches, ruby brads, a scallop border made with the slit punch and strips of ruby red card stock.

Today is eScape Day

Today is Stampin' Up! first ever eScape day. It's a day to connect with family and friends. Turn off laptops, cell phones, pagers, PDAs, and all those other electronic devices that we've grown so accustomed to. Take the time to reconnect with friends and loved ones through personal communication. Well since I have to go to work, I know I can't escape some of those electronic devices. I did want to take a minute to talk about two of my stamping buddies and what their friendship has meant to me as well taking a minute to showcase some of their beautiful work. Two friendships, Colleen and Tracy that started with a love of the craft has become two special friendship that I have come to depend and cherish.

Tracy was great and that she did get a beautiful card in the mail to me to celebrate the day. Here it is made with the Pretty Petals stamp set. She colored the flowers in with her Stampin' Write Markers. She then colored in the greeting from Think Happy Thoughts and punched it out her circle punches. I love how she did that! The finishing touch was the wide grosgrain ribbon in the Old Olive color.

She also has given me 2 terrific baby cards that I've been meaning to post but I haven't had a minute to do so. One is made with the great stamp set in the Occasions mini, By Ones & By Twos. For you Stampin' Up! demonstrators, you may recognize this as a card that made it on Stamper's Showcase this week. She stamped the onesie on a piece of Berry Bliss Designer paper and then cut it out and attached it to the card. She stamped the Polka Dot background stamp. The scallop border was made with the 5/16"corner rounder. some grosgrain and gingham ribbon finish the project.

The next card also created by Tracy is made with the onesie template found on Lauren Meader's blog. She stamped the butterfly from the Sweet Shapes stamp set. The greeting comes from the Short & Sweet stamp set. The finishing touches were the scallope edges and the silver brads.
The next two projects came from my friend Colleen. The first one she made with the Fresh Cuts stamp set that is a sneak peak to the Fall Winter Idea Book that you can purchase now. She stamped in Silver ink and embossed the image. The greeting she stamped and then punche with her two ovals. The background is the Soft Sky Designer Series paper. The bottom of the card, she punched with the 1/4" inch circle Basic Grey card stock and then put a silver brad through the center.

Next project that I received from Colleen was a Jacob's ladder project. Click here to see the tutorial on how to make the project. It's a great way to showcase pictures or just have fun playing with it. Here she made it with some chipboard coasters, some ribbon and Berry Bliss designer series paper.

Hope you enjoyed the projects as much as I have enjoyed receiving them from my two talented friends.

The greeting comes from the Think Happy Thoughts stamp set. Two flowers were punched from the Boho Blossoms punch and a silver brad was put through the center. One was put in the center of the greeting the second next to the image of the elephant. The greeting was layered on top of the next layer circle punch ad the scallop circle. Some pink taffeta ribbon was adhered to the card. Lastly a bow was made with the ribbon and attached to the card with mini glue dots.

So Much Fun Scrapbook Page

Here's a scrapbook page with my favorite little girl. The page is made with my the So Much stamp set and the Berry Bliss Designer Series Paper. The inspiration started with the paper which lead to the stamp set. The flower was stamped and cut out and a neutral button was adhered to the center with a mini glue dot. I made slits in the chocolate chip paper with our horizontal slit punch. I then proceeded to thread the wide grosgrain chocolate chip ribbon and than put pretty in pink brads. The little flowers were punched with the trio flower punch from the Three for You punch box and pretty in pink brads were put in the center. I attached the flowers to the page with our Stampin' Dimensionals. The title comes from the greeting from the set. The word fun was stamped with our best friends alphabet which I punched each of the letters individually with our 3/4" square punch and mounted on a piece of chocolate chip.

This Week's Color Combination

Here is this week's color combination, Always Artichoke and Groovy Guava. This week's sample is made with So Cool stamp set. I stamped the That's Random image on the Always Artichoke card stock. I filled it in with some of the images from the Stamp of Authenticity stamp set. Next, I stamped the Dude That is So Cool image in Groovy Guava. I then stamped it again in the Always Artichoke. I cut out the That is So Cool words in Always Artichoke and placed them on top of the Groovy Guava stamped image. Next I used my Coluzzle and cut the image out.

Next I took a strip of Groovy Guava that I crumbled up and then laid straight. I sponged on some Groovy Guava color to the strip. I then the bottom right hand corner and turned it up and cut a triangle of Groovy Guava and adhered it to the corner. I then crumbled and sponged up the corner and put a vintage brad through the center. The finishing touch was setting the jumbo pewter eyelets and tieing the Chocolate Chip Poly-Twill Ribbon. The poly-twill ribbon will be available in the new Occassions mini that will be out in the next couple of days. I love the texture of this ribbon. It also comes in the Old Olive color.

Time Well Spent Emboss Resist

Here are two samples made with with Time Well Spent stamp set with the Emboss Resist technique. It started with a glossy piece of card stock where I stamped in Versamark the flowers from the Time Well Spent stamp set. Next, I sprinkled some White Embossing Powder and embossed. Once that was done I took my sponge daubers and applied some ink from my stamp pads to the paper.

Once that was done, I cut a square and made my card. I cut the sqare of the image and mounted onto a piece of Groovy Guava. Next, I stamped the greeting and colored in the flower with my blender pens from the ink from the stamp pad. To finish the card, I tied a white tafetta ribbon and glue dot a halfback pearl on top from my pretties kit.

With the scrapbook page, I cut the images from the glossy card stock with my coluzzle. The large flowers I set a white eyelet in the center. Next I made a scallop border with my slit punch. With my 1/8" inch handheld punch I punched the centers of the scallops. Next I took a piece of Groovy Guava card stock and then put a strip of Regal Rose wide Grosgrain Ribbon in between the card stock and ths scallop edge. I stamped the greeting and colored it in with my blender pens. I piece of Regal Rose and the ribbon knot finish the page off. Now I just have to find a picture to put in the page!

This Week's Color Challenge

If you have a minute, check out Colleen's entry on this week's color challenge. She is so right I was cursing her for this week's challenge. The colors are Basic Black, Sahara Sand and Basic Gray. Wow, what a hard color combination. My first thought was to do something with the Wanted stamp set, but I really want to play with one of the new stamp sets I just got so, here is what I came up with.

I stamped the swirl from Baroque Motifs and added Halfback pearls from the Pretties kit and attached them with mini glue dots. Next I stamped the greeting from the Lovely Labels stam set and punched it out with our 1 3/8" circle punch. I then attached it to a scallop circle punch that I paper pierced. All three layers of the embellishment, I adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals when I was done. Next, I cut a circle out with my Coluzzle and then attached a piece of Basic Black card stock beneath it. Then I took the coluzzle and made the circle frame with my Sahara Sand card stock and attached on top of the black. Lastly, a bow with our Kraft Taffetta ribbon and paper piercing finish the card off.

Dude That is so Cool Gift Bag

When the catalog came out I just knew I had to have these two stamp sets, So Cool and Seriously Sassy. I have so many tweenies, tweens and divas on my list, that I knew I would put these sets to good use.

Here is my first of I am sure many projects. Here is a gift bag I made with the So Cool stamp set. I started with a Red gift bag and rolled the new Lots of Dots Jumbo Wheel that will be out in the new Occasions Mini Catalog on March 1st.

Next, with my Stampin' Write Markers I colored inthe Dude That is So Cool stamp with Real Red and Pumpkin Pie. I then randomly stamped the other images in the set on a strip of White Card stock and attached it to a piece of Pumpkin Pie. Then I attached that strip to the bag with my Jumbo Pewter Eyelets which was no easy feat since I could not use my Crop-a-dile. I had to go back to my old fashion eyelet setter and hammer. Setting the eyelet in the gift bag was not an easy task.

The with the ticket corner punch, I punched the corners and put vintage brads in place.

Star Punched Congrats Homemade Card

Two of my downline are having special occasions happening this week. One just had her grand opening workshop and it was a huge success. The next one is celebrating an anniversary with Stampin' Up! this week. So to let them know how proud I am of their accomplishments, I made homemade conngratulations cards. So here is the card I made for the both of them.

The colors are Rose Red and Pretty in Pink. I started with the word congrats that I stamped with my Taffy Alphabet in Rose Red. The little stars I used from a retired stamp set, Small Sayings that was in one of the past mini catalogs. The stars were stamped in Pretty in Pink. Next, I attached some Rose Red Prints Designer Series Paper and strip of Pretty in Pink and Rose Red. I paper pierced the strip of Pretty in Pink.

Next came the stars that I punched out with my large and small star punches. The smaller stars, I put silver brads through the center and attached them to the card with dimensionals. On the larger stars, I also attached the stars with dimensionals. The finishing touches was tying some ribbon onto the paper clip and attaching it to the greeting. I still felt like the card was missing something. So I took out my Color Spritzer Tool and with my Stampin' Write Marker, I spritzed on some color.
