Flower Fusion meets Sweet Solitude

I have to say I really love the colors in our Flower Fusion. Then again, I don't think there is Stampin' Up! color I have meet that I didn't like.

Here I are paired up with the hostess stamp set, Spring Solitude. The images were randomly stamped in Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Pink Passion. and then I placed some of our felt flowers on top to add color and dimension with a vintage brad through the center. Next I stamped the greeting from the Celebrate Everything stamp set in Pink Passion. The finishing touch was the Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon.

This Week's Color Combination

Here is this week's color combination, Always Artichoke and Groovy Guava. This week's sample is made with So Cool stamp set. I stamped the That's Random image on the Always Artichoke card stock. I filled it in with some of the images from the Stamp of Authenticity stamp set. Next, I stamped the Dude That is So Cool image in Groovy Guava. I then stamped it again in the Always Artichoke. I cut out the That is So Cool words in Always Artichoke and placed them on top of the Groovy Guava stamped image. Next I used my Coluzzle and cut the image out.

Next I took a strip of Groovy Guava that I crumbled up and then laid straight. I sponged on some Groovy Guava color to the strip. I then the bottom right hand corner and turned it up and cut a triangle of Groovy Guava and adhered it to the corner. I then crumbled and sponged up the corner and put a vintage brad through the center. The finishing touch was setting the jumbo pewter eyelets and tieing the Chocolate Chip Poly-Twill Ribbon. The poly-twill ribbon will be available in the new Occassions mini that will be out in the next couple of days. I love the texture of this ribbon. It also comes in the Old Olive color.

Bud Basics and Basic Outline

Bud Basics and Basics Outline is one of my favorite wheels. What I usually do is roll a whole sheet of 12x12 card stock with the Basics Outline then use the Bud Basics to color it in. In this case the colors are Pixie Pink, Orchid Opulence and Gable Green. After I am done, I have a whole sheet of patterned cardstock to make projects out of. Here is some tags I made. The extra touches is stamping the large flower from the stamp set and cutting it out then attaching it to the tag with Dimensionals. The center of the flower I got to use some of the Basic Black buttons I had from the Neutral collection. The top of the tag, I made a punch with the Horizontal Slot punch and tied some black gingham ribbon. Lastly, some paper piercing on the strip of Basic Black card stock and the greeting For You stamped from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set finish the tag off.

Time Well Spent Emboss Resist

Here are two samples made with with Time Well Spent stamp set with the Emboss Resist technique. It started with a glossy piece of card stock where I stamped in Versamark the flowers from the Time Well Spent stamp set. Next, I sprinkled some White Embossing Powder and embossed. Once that was done I took my sponge daubers and applied some ink from my stamp pads to the paper.

Once that was done, I cut a square and made my card. I cut the sqare of the image and mounted onto a piece of Groovy Guava. Next, I stamped the greeting and colored in the flower with my blender pens from the ink from the stamp pad. To finish the card, I tied a white tafetta ribbon and glue dot a halfback pearl on top from my pretties kit.

With the scrapbook page, I cut the images from the glossy card stock with my coluzzle. The large flowers I set a white eyelet in the center. Next I made a scallop border with my slit punch. With my 1/8" inch handheld punch I punched the centers of the scallops. Next I took a piece of Groovy Guava card stock and then put a strip of Regal Rose wide Grosgrain Ribbon in between the card stock and ths scallop edge. I stamped the greeting and colored it in with my blender pens. I piece of Regal Rose and the ribbon knot finish the page off. Now I just have to find a picture to put in the page!

This Week's Color Challenge

If you have a minute, check out Colleen's entry on this week's color challenge. She is so right I was cursing her for this week's challenge. The colors are Basic Black, Sahara Sand and Basic Gray. Wow, what a hard color combination. My first thought was to do something with the Wanted stamp set, but I really want to play with one of the new stamp sets I just got so, here is what I came up with.

I stamped the swirl from Baroque Motifs and added Halfback pearls from the Pretties kit and attached them with mini glue dots. Next I stamped the greeting from the Lovely Labels stam set and punched it out with our 1 3/8" circle punch. I then attached it to a scallop circle punch that I paper pierced. All three layers of the embellishment, I adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals when I was done. Next, I cut a circle out with my Coluzzle and then attached a piece of Basic Black card stock beneath it. Then I took the coluzzle and made the circle frame with my Sahara Sand card stock and attached on top of the black. Lastly, a bow with our Kraft Taffetta ribbon and paper piercing finish the card off.

Homemade Treat Jar

Here is a homemade treat jar. I took one of the smaller hearts from the On Board Accents chipboard. I sponged on Real Red craft ink with my sponge daubers. Next, I took my Iridecescent Ice embossing powder and sprinkled it onto the heart and embossed. I attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals. Love how it sparkles. Next, with my Stampin' Write Markers I colored in the words that I wanted from the greeting in the Friendship Blooms stamp set. I cut each of the word out and attached them to the top of the jar.

Next, I took the great new paper from the Prints Pack Designer Series Paper. I just love this paper and placed it on top of the Real Red card stock. I think I need to place another order so I can get another pack! These are all my favorite colors. One can only hope that they will be in the new catalog.

The finishing touch was the Real Red Wide Grosgrain Ribbon. I tied it on the outside of the jar. There is also a strip inbetween the card stock and designer series paper. I also tied a small knot and place it under the greeting.

Be Happy Celebrate

I found a new way to use our large and small star punches. I paired it up with the flower from the Be Happy Set. I stamped the flower in Not Quite Navy and Wild Wasabi and punched out the image with our star punches. I attached them to card with dimensionals. Next, I took the Blue Bayou and stamped th background with our Polka Dot background stamp. The greeting was stamped from the Celebrate Everything stamp set. Some paper piercing and silver brads finish the card off.

Dude That is so Cool Gift Bag

When the catalog came out I just knew I had to have these two stamp sets, So Cool and Seriously Sassy. I have so many tweenies, tweens and divas on my list, that I knew I would put these sets to good use.

Here is my first of I am sure many projects. Here is a gift bag I made with the So Cool stamp set. I started with a Red gift bag and rolled the new Lots of Dots Jumbo Wheel that will be out in the new Occasions Mini Catalog on March 1st.

Next, with my Stampin' Write Markers I colored inthe Dude That is So Cool stamp with Real Red and Pumpkin Pie. I then randomly stamped the other images in the set on a strip of White Card stock and attached it to a piece of Pumpkin Pie. Then I attached that strip to the bag with my Jumbo Pewter Eyelets which was no easy feat since I could not use my Crop-a-dile. I had to go back to my old fashion eyelet setter and hammer. Setting the eyelet in the gift bag was not an easy task.

The with the ticket corner punch, I punched the corners and put vintage brads in place.

Sweet One Scrapbook Page

Well I finally had a chance to scrapbook my new guy in my life, my nephew, Michael Joseph. He is now 3 weeks old. He is just too cute.

I got to use some of the new things that just came in for me. I just got the Hostess Exclusive Prints Pack Designer Series Paper. It has the prints paper in Bashful Blue perfect for this page. I also got to use the So Many Scallops stamp set. It is one of the sets you can get for free though Sale-a-bration.

So the bottom of the page, I put strips of Whisper White, Bashful Blue and the Bashful Blue Prints Designer Series Paper. I also punched some stars out with my star punch with the Bashful Blue Prints DSP. I attached them to the page with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the Sweet One stamp and punched it out with my Scallop circle punch and layered it on top of Bashful Blue and Whisper White card stock. I also popped up the image with dimensionals. Some Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain Ribbon finish the page off.

Celebrate Friendship

I have to say one of the most amazing things that have happened to me as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the friendships I have made. They are truly amazing. Everytime I turn around there are new goodies arriving on my doorstep. Today, I came home to these amazing creations by friend Tracy.
The first set is made with our Sale-a-bration stamp set, Lots of Thoughts. The background of the card and the box, she stamped with the Sprinkles stamp set. The colors are are Pretty in Pink and Purely Pomegranate. She finishes both of these with the Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon. The box is a Ghiradelli Chocolate boxes created by Shelley and you can see the template on her blog Mocha Memories.

The second project is a card made with Artfully Asian and the Faux Silk technique. Click here to get step by step instructions on how to do the technique. The colors are Ruby Red, So Saffron, Kraft and Mellow Moss. She made the scallop edge with our corner rounder and the accessory is the Mellow Moss Taffetta ribbon.

I also wanted to take the time to showcase some things Colleen has shared with me as well. I just have been running around and completely missed posting them when I originally had them come across me.

The first one is a pocket card made with Birthday Whimsy stamp set. You'll notice Colleen has been an embossing mode lately. Here she embossed the cake. The colors of this card are Eggplant Envy, Rose Red and So Saffron. She finishes the card off with some Eggplant Envy Grosgrain Ribbon and the corners punched with the Tag Corner and the corner Rounder. She also made the scallop edge with the corner rounder. The background she wheeled the Sweet Stars Jumbo wheel.

The next project Colleen made was Card Candy made with the So Many Scallops stamp set. As you can see from the shine, she embossed again! I love how they came out. If you have never seen card candy, this great. All the images are attached on one side with the Pop-up Glue Dot. The other side is still attached to the paper it comes on from the roll. So when the person is ready, they can just pull it off the backing and attach it to their card or project. She embellished them with Jumbo Pewter Eyelets and Pretties! The So Many Scallops stamp set of course perfectly coordinates with our Scallop Circle punch.

Color Challenge Valentine's Gift Bag

Here is this week's color challenge: Kraft, Real Red and Basic Black.

With these colors I decided to do decorate a Valentine's Day gift bag. I got the mini gift bag on the clearance section of Target. I love when I find treasures in the clearance section there.

Here I stamped the heart from the Always stamp set with Craft Real Red and then sprinkled some Iridescent Ice embossing power and embossed the heart. Next, I cut it out and adhered it to the Kraft background with Dimensionals. Next, I stamped the greeting For You from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set. I then used the Ticket Corner punch and added some Vintage Brads.

The finishing touch was tieing wide grosgrain ribbon to each of the 4 top corners of the gift bag.

Sweet Shapes Valentine's Day Cards

Well I just couldn't stop at the candy holders, I had to make a few cards to mail out as well. Well I took the same colors and design and turned it into homemade Valentine's Day Cards. The only difference between the card and the treats was the strip of pretty in pink grosgrain ribbon in between the close to cocoa card and pretty in pink card stock. The other difference is the greeting that I stamped from the Sweet Shapes stamp set.

Sweet Shapes Valentine's Day Treat Holders

I've been busy making Valentine's Day treat holders. They are super easy to make. The thing I've always liked about this design is that the person getting the treat doesn't have to take the package apart to see what they are getting. They can just look on the side and in the cello bag you see your present. This is great for bridal shower favors.

The first thing you do take an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper and cut it in half so you will have a 4 1/4" x 11" sheet of paper. Take one of the piece and put it aside. You will be able to make two treat containers from one piece of paper.

Next, you need to cut a piece 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" from the bottom of one of the pieces. This will the top of the treat holder. You will fold it in half.

Take the longer end, you will now score at 4" and then 4 1/2" or you can do what I do is just 4" one side and then flip the sheet around and score again at 4". Anyone who knows me, knows I do not do well with measurements or math. So if I don't have to do it, I don't.

Next, I stamped the Polka Dot background stamp and stamped the two bottom sides of the holder.

Then the fun part, I took a medim flat cello bag (4" x 6") and filled it with M&M's. I then took the top and trimmed about an inch off and then folded the top over and put the bag topper on. By folding the bag over the side, it helps keep the M & M's from coming out and you don't need additional adhesive to keep it closed.

Then I took my Crop-a-dile and make two holes through the top, the bag and the bottom. So you need to keep a firm grip on the project since there is no adhesive or have an extra pair of hands around. Once I was done, I threaded the Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon through the two holes and tied a knot.

The last step was the embellishments. First I put a strip of Pretty in Pink card stock under the top of the bag to add another layer of color. I stamped the full and outline heart from the Sweet Shapes stamp set. I punched it out with the 1" inch circle punch, next I punched a piece of close to cocoa with the 1 3/8" inch circle punch. Last, I punche a large scallop circle and paper piercied it. I used monoadhesive to put most of the pieces together. I put Stampin' Dimensionals on the layer between the heart piece and the close to cocoa to make it pop. I also put Dimensionals on the bottom to adhere it to the package to ensure the embellishment didn't fall off.

Always Homemade Valentine's Candy Jar

Here is a Bell Jar filled with pink, red and white M&M's. I cut a Red circle for the background and stamped it with the Canvas background. I stamped the heart from the Always set and cut it out. I attached to with dimensionals to the red background.

I finally used my Build-a-Brads. I stamped the coordinating circle flower and punched it out with my 1/2" circle punch and attached it to the Build-a-Brad. I attached to the background with a large glue dot after I snipped off the brad fastners.

Next I tied a piece of red gingham ribbon in a bow and attached with a mini glue dot. Next I stamped the greeting and attached to a piece of red card stock. Lastly, I filled the jar with M&M's and tied a wide red grosgrain ribbon around the outside of the jar.

Combination of Old and New

My friend just got a new puppy. Her name is Bailey. Here is a card I made to welcome their new addition to the family. The only dog stamp I had was from the A little love stamp set that was retired a few catalogs back. I stamped him and colored him in with my Stampin' Write Markers. Next I punched him out with the 1 3/8"circle punch. I layered it on top of the scallop circle punch that I paper pierced. I then stamped the words welcome, little one from the Nursery Necessites stamp set and cut it out. Next I attached a strip of Wide Grosgrain Ribbon and attached the caramel gingham ribbon. The bottom of the card I made the scallop edge with the slit punch and paper pierced each of the scallop. The background of half the card, I used the Flannel Plaid Background stamp.

Big Flowers Valentine's Day Homemade Gift Tag

Here is a Homemade Gift Tag made with the Big Flowers stamp set. It was inspired by the January Open Workshop project. While my customers were busy making their flowers, I figured I'd try to come up with a new idea with the punched flowers. So here is my creation. The colors are Pixie Pink, Real Red and Whisper White. The flowers were stamped on the card stock in Real Red and with the various circle punches and the scallop circle punch, the shapes were punched out and layered. The top layer a pretty in pink brad was put through the center and it was adhered to the card with a dimensional. The background of the Pixie Pink background was stamped with the Polka Dot background stamp. Then strips of Real Red card stock were attached. The greeting was stamped from the Hugs & Wishes stamp set. The top of the tag was punched with the horizontal slit punch. The finishing touch was the Real Red wide grosgrain ribbon tied in a knot on top.

Be Happy Color Challenge

Here is this week's color challenge: Always Artichoke, Taken With Teal and Purely Pomegranate. It is made with the Be Happy stamp set. It is for my friend daughter's birthday. I so wish I had purchased the Seriously Sassy stamp set earlier, it would have been perfect for her. I just got a delivery notification, in less than a week it will be in my hands. In the meantime, here is card made with the Be Happy Set. I stamped the tag and the word enjoy and cut it out. The flower I punched out with the 5 petal flower punch and attached to the tage with Stampin' Dimensionals. One half of the background, I stamped the Polka Dot background stamp set. Then strips of Purely Pomegranate and Always Artichoke were placed in center of the card. Before I adhered the center pieces of card stock, I tied a piece of Purely Pomegranate double stiched ribbon. Some paper piercing and Always Artichoke button with linen thread finish it off.

Priceless Valentine's Candy Holders

Here are Valentine treat bags filled with M&M candies. They are super easy to make and what great gifts to give out on Valentine's day. The heart and the swirl come from the Priceless stamp set and were stamped with the Purely Pomegrante ink. I punched the heart out with our 1 3/8" circle punch and then mounted on a scallop circle punch. Two silver brads keep the cello bag and the bag topper together.

Always Sweet Serendipity

I apologize for not posting yesterday. I was dealing with a some kind of 24 hour bug which seems to be okay today. Go figure. Not sure what that was. Well here is a card I made with the Always and Sweet Serendipity stamp sets. I stamped the hearts onto Pretty in Pink paper and cut them out. The background of the Chocolate Chip card stock, I stamped with the Canvas background. I stamped the greeting from the Sweet Serendipty stamp set. Next, I punched it out with the key tab punch. I then took the 1/8" circle held punch. I threaded the pink tafetta ribbon and secured the ribbon with some Vintage brads.
