Happy Fall Scrapbook Page

When the Apple Cider Designer Series Paper came out in the Holiday Mini last year. I had the perfect picture to use with the paper. It was the pictures we took of Julie pumpkin picking.

I started with a textured piece of River Rock card stock. Then I put a piece of Apple Cider designer series paper down on top of the card stock. The happy greeting comes from the Happy Everything stamp set and the word Fall I stamped with the retired Letterpress Alphabet. I punched a slit on the top of the title in which I then threaded the Twill Tape through the slit and then up to the top of the page, two vintage brads keep the twill in place. I made the two pumpkins with the small oval and word window punches. I added some dimension to the pumkins by adding some ink to the sides of the ovals. Lastly, I punched a photo corner in our Wild Wasabi card stock and then two vintage brads keep the corner in place.

Christmas Scrapbook Pages Day 3

Today is the end of the Christmas scrapbook pages. Since it is day 3, I figured I'd end with 3 scrapbook page layouts. The first one was very simple. It just happened to be the last layout I did and as can see I was losing steam as the day progressed. It is made with the Snowflake spot stamp set. Let it Snow was stamped with the Best Friends alphabet. The center of the large snowflakes, I stamped the large snowflake in Certainly Celery and punched it out with the Snow Blossom punch. I put a silver brad through the center and attached it to the large snowflakes with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The second layout was made to look like a patchwork quilt. I punched out scraps of the Dashing Designer Series paper with my 1 1/4" square punch and then arranged them in a pattern. The word Joy comes from the Love & Joy set from the Holiday mini, the Merry center of joy was stamped and then punched out with 3/4" circle punch and attached to the page with a dimensional. The finishing touches was the real red grosgrain ribbon and buttons.

Lastly, the page was made with the Holiday Trim stamp set. The colors are Wild Wasabi, Regal Rose and So Saffron, so not the typical holiday colors, but I think they work well on this page. The stars were punched with the large and small star punches, but before I punched, I dry embossed stars with my Punches Plus brass template. It's a little hard to see with the camera flash, but if you look reall close you might be able to see the dry embossing. Then the scallop edge was made with the slit punch. Lastly, some paper piercing and apricot grosgrain ribbon complete the layout.

Christmas Scrapbook Pages Day 2

Here is day two of the scrapbook pages that I worked on. The first one was made with the Dashing designer series paper. I have to say this is one of the best holiday papers we ever had. I am looking forward to what they come up for next year. The paper made me think of a candy cane. So I pulled the candy cane from the Holiday Blitz set which I mounted on punched circle and scallop circle that was paper pierced. I also used my square punches and adhered them to the bottom border. The title was stamped with the retired Whimsical alphabet set. The finishing touch was the red grosgrain ribbon.

The next page I stamped the Snowburst stamp set from the Holiday mini. I put black buttons in the center of some of the snowflakes as an embellishment. The title was stamped with Short Order alphabet. Strips of Basic Black and Bordering Blue finish the layout.

Christmas Scrapbook Pages Day 1

Here are some of the scrapbook pages I completed on Saturday. What I have done for the last couple of years is take all the holiday photo cards I get in the mail and make them into scrapbook pages. I love seeing how the kids change from year to year. Since everyone takes so much time in getting the right picture, they are usually one of the best pictures of their children. So why have them sit in a box, scrap them! So for the next couple of days, I will be posting some of the scrapbook pages I finished. You are sure to see some retired designer papers and sets. Hope the layouts inspire your creativity.

The first one was made with the Season of Joy stamp set from the past Holiday mini. I stamped the poinsettas and then cut them out and put them on the page with gold brads through the center. Joy to the World was stamped with the Letterpress alphabet. I just love the colors on this page, they are Purely Pomegranate and Wild Wasabi.

The next layout was made with the Peaceful Wishes stamp set stamped on Confetti Cream card stock. The finishing touch was the chocolate chip wide ribbon that was adhered to the bottom as a border and the knot near the greeting.

Homemade Holiday Gift Tags

One of the great products from the promotion is the Tags for All stamp set. Here are some quick and easy tags made with the stamp set. As you can see I am getting them ready in time for wrapping Christmas gifts. They are super easy. I stamped the tag image with Wild Wasabi ink. I also stamped the tag a second time in Real Red ink. The image stamped in Real Red ink, I punched out with our 3/4" circle punch. I attached the word merry with a Stampin' Dimensional. Next I adhered the image to a piece of Real Red card stock. I made the tag corners with our Tag Corner punch. I had no idea we had this punch until a recent Stampin' Up! event that I attended. I makes making tags so quick and easy. Lastly, I took the double stiched Wild Wasabi ribbon and stapled it to the tag. To keep in place until I stapled it, I put a little mono adhesive.

Today's new catalog sneak peak is we are getting a new punch to replace the Spring Bouquet flower punch. It is a simiar style and that it is a 3 flower punch, but the flowers are more in a scallop style. Of course if there is a punch there is a coordinating stamp set.

Tags for All

I love the Tags for All stamp set. Just by omitting part of the stamp you get a whole different look. Here are some tags made with the set. Then I turned around and made a full card with just repositioning things. My next objective is to make a scrapbook page with the same colors and design. The colors are Old Olive and Bravo Burgundy. I colored in the holly with my Stampin' Write Markers. I punched with my circle punches and my scallop circle. I also paper pierced the scallop. I used dimensionals to pop up the scallop. The background uses the Flannel background stamp. I stamped the greeting from the Holiday and Wishes stamp set. An Old Olive brad finishes the card and the tags With the tags I tied some Bravo Burgundy grosgrain with some Mellow moss gingham ribbon. Supersize Snowflake Scrapbook Page

Here is the last of my holiday scrapbook pages for this week. Here is one made with the Supersize Snowflake stamp set and Snow Jumbo wheel from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The colors are Bashful Blue, Whisper White and Basic Black. The snowflake was stamped and then cut out, but only a part of it. I just could not see cutting it throughly out without ruining the snowflake in the process. Lastly, Basic Black buttons were added to the centers of the snowflake.

Don't you just love the photo card on the left side of the scrap page. It was made by Cythina's husband, he really does amazing One of a Kind Digital Photo Art. Check it out.

Snow Burst, Dashing and a little of Season of Joy

This scrapbook page. I took the Snow Burst stamp set from the Holiday Mini and stamped it in the middle of the circles in the Dashing Designer Series Paper with Old Olive ink. Then I stamped the Season of Joy and added some gold brads. After I laid the designer series paper down. I put strips of Old Olive card stock on the top and the right of the right hand side of the page layout. I also put a strip under the Dashing paper on the left hand side. Lastly, some snowburst snowflakes were stamped in the bottom right and some gold brads finish the page off.

Another Season of Joy Scrapbook Page

Here is another Season of Joy scrapbook page. This time I used the poinsettias and the swirls from the set. The colors are Bravo Burgundy and Always Artichoke. I can't believe that I have not played with these colors in so long. I think I may have picked up the Bravo Burgundy stamp set, but I am pretty sure Always Artichoke has been sitting on the shelf collecting dust.

I stamped the poinsettias and the swirls and then I cut swirls on the card stock. I then mounted a piece of Always Artichoke and cut a layer around the Very Vanilla card stock. Since I was at a crop I didn't have my Cutter Kit, so I just did it free hand. Not too bad if I have to say so myself. The right border, I also did some paper piercing and added a strip of Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon. The bottom corner, I stamped the greeting Many Merry Messages. I added a Always Artichoke Border on the right side as well as the top and bottom. Lastly some gold brads were added to the center of the poinsettias.

Season of Joy Scrapbook Page

I am so excited. I went to all day scrapbooking crop yesterday and I actually got some scrapbooking done! I know you are thinking isn't that the point. Well actually my objective was to finish making my Christmas cards and I am happy to announce they are done. They just need to be addressed and put in the mail.

But after making all the cards, I treated myself to some play time. My friend, Colleen Triglianos, a fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, was with me and I got to play with some of the new sets that she purchased from the Holiday Mini. So since my holiday cards were done, I came up with some 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook pages for my Holiday photo cards that came last year. I know I am a little behind.

So here is a scrapbook page made with Season of Joy and the Dashing Designer Series Paper. I adhered some wide red grosgrain ribbon along the border. I tied a red bow and attached to the page with a mini glue dot. The snowflakes were added were punched with my circle punches and adhered onto the scallop circle. I added a red brad to the center and paper pierced the scallop.

Quick & Easy Cards with Designer Series Paper

Here are some quick and easy homemade cards made with our wonderful Designer Series Paper. It's on sale this month, so don't miss an opportunity to own such wonderful paper like Cutie Pie and Dashing. Click here to read more about the promotion.

The first card uses the Dashing designer series paper and the Tags for All stamp set from our Holiday Mini. I stamped the Tags for All image and then cut it out removing the to and from section from the tag image. I mounted it on a piece of Real Red card stock and popped it up with our Stampin' Dimensionals. The finishing touch is the Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon.

The next card uses our Cutie Pie Designer Series Paper. The designer series paper was mounted on a piece of Rose Red card stock on top and then a scallop border made with our slit punch and the I used our 1/8" handheld circle punch to punch the holes in the center and that was adhered to the bottom. I tied the white grograin ribbon and then stamped the best wishes from the Short and Sheet stamp set.

A New Twist on a Scrapbook Page

Here is same theme that was done on this scrapbook page, but with different colors and layout and of course featuring my little sweetheart, my little niece and my sister.

The colors on this page are the fabulous Wild Wasabi, River Rock and just pieces of Reall Rust. The background of the Wild Wasabi, I used my Versamark ink to give a lightly stamped background look. I layered my photo onto Really Rust card stock.

Then I stamped onto the River Rock card stock the scallop stamp set from the Wanted set. I punched it out with the circle scallop punch and set the jumbo pewter eyelet in the center. Then I stamped another circle scallop punch with the Really Rust card stock and layered underneath. I punched up the river rock stamped scallop with a dimensional. A strip of the Apple Cider designer series paper was adhered and the bottom edge was distressed. Right above the Apple Cider strip, I used my Crop-a-dile to do some dry embossed circles. Lastly, some vintage brads were added and the greeting was stamped and the journaling was added.

November Open Workshop

In November we will be making 5 cards at my Open Workshop. Here are the cards we will be making. The $12 fee will be waived with any purchase of $35 or more.

October Open Workshop Projects

Here are two more projects that we will be making at my October Open Workshop. The first is a Fall lantern to add to your Fall decorations. It is looks like a little pumpkin. Something you can't see is I added two leaves to the top of the ornament. It is made with our Pumpkin Pie Prints Designer Series paper and Holiday Blitz stamp set.

The second is a Happy Fall Card using our Happy Everything and Letterpress Alphabet. It also uses our Rough Texture Jumbo wheel, Apple Cider Designer Series Paper, Twill Tape and Earth Element Brads.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Part 2

Here is the second part to my blog entry, It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Here are a few more Holiday paper craft projects of things I saw at Fall Fest, our Regional Stampin' Up event for demonstrators. I hope you enjoy them and they provide you some inspiration for the holidays.

The first project is the JOY wall hanging. It is made with some Dashing Designer Series Paper and On Board Simon Upper Chipboard. Red Grosgrain and Certainly Celery Grosgrain keep it together as well as embellish it.

The next project is a ornament. It is just gorgeous. It uses the LeJardin Designer Series Paper. Vicky Wu was demonstrating how to make these ornaments at Fall Fest. It was a lot of paper cutting and straight pins into a Styrofoam ball. Some River Rock Double Stiched Ribbon and Very Vanilla Tafetta Ribbon pull the item together.
The next is the Holiday Happiness Snowflake card. What a fabulous idea to stamp snowflakes inside the Dashing Paper. The big polka dots have been overwhelming me and I wasn't quite sure what to do with them. This a great way idea of how to use the big polka dots in the designer series paper. The snowflakes come from the Snowburst stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The colors are River Rock and Old Olive.

The last item is a Chore Chart made with our On Board Clipboards. What a great idea for a teacher or make one for your home. The designer series paper to cover the clipboard is our Flowers for You. Then the strips of So Saffron, Almost Amethyst and Wild Wasabi were stamped with the stars from the Background Basics stamp set. From what I can see that the bottom were attached with mono adhesive and the brads on the top which makes for a nice little slot to put the chores and the photos of who will do the job.

Seeing this chore chart brings me back to my childhood, except we used our calendar to mark who was going to do the dishes. For some reason, I was always doing dishes. My brother and sister would say "It's not my day. I did them yesterday." So beware, put the chart way up high when you go to post it. There is always someone who is going to get out doing their job. :)

Fall Themed Paper Craft Projects

Here are some fall themed paper craft projects from Fall Fest. The first one is the Boo card. The pumpkins from Year after Year stamp set were maded into mummies! How great is that. The Orange circle was cut out from our Coluzzle and the bats were made with our Round Tab punch. The letter B comes from our Headline Alphabet stamp set. Googlie eyes on our mummies finish the card off.

The next card is a beautiful watercoloring job done with Autumn Apparitions stamp set. The greeting comes from With Gratitude stamp set.

Lastly, there is the Fabulous flower card sample. The flower was colored in with our Stampin' Write markers and then edges were sponged on ink from our ink pads. The center of the flower, some dazzling diamonds was added for a little bling. Then the Ticket Corner punch was used on all the corners and some vintage brads were added. The Outlaw designer series paper was used on the background. The card was finished off with some Groovy Guava double stiched ribbon and vintage brads.

Season of Joy Samples

Here are some Season of Joy samples that were on the display boards at Fall Fest. Three different cards with different color combinations that give three totally unique styles.

The first one is a tent card paired up with Soft Sky and Blue Bayou color combination. It also uses the Snow Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel and the greeting comes from Many Merry Messages stamp set. The white stamping was done with the white craft pad and embossed. The embellishments are the snow flake made withe circle punches and the Soft Sky double stiched ribbon.

The next card uses the Dashing Designer Series paper, River Rock, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla card stock. The tree was stamped in Old Olive and the corners were rounded on the very vanilla and chocolate chip card stock and the edge of the vanilla was sponged.

The Merry Christmas is stamped in white. The finishing touch is the Chocolate Satin ribbon.

The last card uses our In Colors, Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegrante. The swirls and little flowers were stamped and the Wild Wasabi double stiched ribbon was attached. The poinsettas were stamped and then cut out and adhered to the card. The corner were done with our Ticket Corner.

6x6 scrapbook pages

Here are some 6x6 scrapbook pages that we made at the last two Stampin' Up events. I am always amazed what I think is an great page turns out to be a fabulous scrapbook page when photos are added.

Here is a page we made at Convention. It uses the Wanted stamp set and the Outlaw designer series paper. We also used the Sanded background stamp on the really rust card stock. We used the star, photo corner, 1 inch circle and the scallop punches on this page. We finished the scrapbook page off by adding some paper piercing to the scallop punch and some vintage brads. I just love this picture of my niece that I added to the page. I can't believe she is going to be 2 in just a few weeks.

The next page we made at Regionals. The stamp sets we used were True Friend and Fundamental Phrases. The punches on this page are Corner Rounder, circle and scallop punches. We finished the card off by putting Rhinestone brads and purely pomegrante double stiched ribbon. The picture is of my parents at my brother's wedding. I love how all the colors came together on these pages.
